Cafe+Coffee Shop Guide, San Diego

August 24, 2017

Sitting here sipping a homemade latte cuz #bae-rista for life. If you follow me on Instagram, you know I recently got a Breville espresso machine, and I’m obsessed with it! But let’s back up a second- I have not always been a coffee drinker. It has only been in the last year and a half that … More Cafe+Coffee Shop Guide, San Diego

Somerset: Restaurant Road Trippin’

June 15, 2017

With today’s restaurant review, I feel like no intro is necessary except that I went here, loved it, and you should totally add it to your Santa Barbara restaurant bucket list. (we all have a restaurant bucket list, right?? Well I do lol.) With summer vacation in full swing, it’s high time to take a … More Somerset: Restaurant Road Trippin’

Venice Beach Diaries, Part One

April 14, 2017

A few weeks ago, I took my first day trip to Venice Beach. FINALLY! I have been dying to go for a very long time, and I can say it was one hundred percent worth the wait. If you are a foodie and a wellness-obsessed babe like me, put VB on your list of places to … More Venice Beach Diaries, Part One

Healthy Eats in Manhattan Beach

October 13, 2016

Hello! Happy almost-weekend! I’m sitting here with a cup of cinnamon pear herbal tea (seasonal Republic of Tea flavor-highly recommend!), listening to the French indie pop playlist on Spotify. Random? Yes. But it’s got a really fun vibe! When I want to listen to music and concentrate at the same time, I have to listen to … More Healthy Eats in Manhattan Beach

Rose Story Farm + Raw, Vegan Rose Tarts

August 26, 2015

The inspiration for today’s recipe comes straight out of the garden, but probably not the type of garden you were imagining . Rose Story Farm is the most incredible rose garden in the cute beach town of Carpinteria, California. Walking the grounds is breathtaking and magical. I have never seen so many roses in my life, and … More Rose Story Farm + Raw, Vegan Rose Tarts

Airport Food: How to Navigate

March 19, 2015

I recently went on a quick little trip to Tennessee during my spring break. Yep, Tennessee for spring break. Not exactly the warm, sunny beach, but the rainy weather made me appreciate the fact that I get to live in SoCal all the time. Hanging out in the airport reminded me how frustrating it can be … More Airport Food: How to Navigate

“A flower does not think of competing with the flower next to it. It just blooms.” 🌸How basic of me to put a practically unrelated quote under a picture of myself. (But this floral experience @29rooms IS too stunning not to share.) I have a love-hate relationship with social media because I too often get stuck in the comparison trap. It dims my light, it brings out all the insecure sides of me, and I end up living a shell of a life as I feel stuck watching everyone else’s life, looks, success, and relationships presented to me through a screen. None of that is real, and I just want REAL. If you ever feel this way, know you are not alone, and we all go through it. My focus right now is to stop comparing and start connecting and creating. Connect with people in real life to foster strong, genuine relationships. Create my future through pouring myself into my passions and making something I am proud of. I would love to know what good things in life you are working on now for yourself and how you get out of the comparison trap. 💗💗💗
Two things I will never get tired of having: matcha lattes and salmon avocado toast. 😋Just your friendly reminder that food is fuel, but it can (and should) be fun too!!
I promise I’ll get back to posting avocado toast and smoothie bowls soon 🤪 Still reliving this magical night and figuring out how I can wear this dress on a casual outing running errands lol.
